Experimental investigation on vibration characteristics of the medium–low-speed maglev vehicle–turnout coupled system

Abstract The steel turnout is one of the key components in medium–low-speed maglev line system. However, vehicle under active control prone to vehicle–turnout coupled vibration, and thus, it necessary identify vibration characteristics this system through field tests. To end, dynamic performance tests were conducted on a test line. Firstly, response data various operating conditions obtained. Then, natural analysed using free attenuation method finite element method, indicating good agreement between simulation results measured results; acceleration detail, ride quality was assessed by Sperling index. Finally, frequency distribution discussed. All these could provide references for model validation optimized design transport systems.
